A martingale collar consists of two loops, the larger loop is slipped onto the dog's neck and the leash is then clipped to the smaller loop.
The collar will stay loose around your dog’s neck yet tighten if your dog tries to slip out, perfect for any flight risks dog. It should be fitted so that the martingale collar will fit snugly around the neck with two finger spacing allowance. This fitting prevents escape, but does not choke your dog.
